It’s important to take time out of the day to enjoy life. I have learned from watching our patients that one of the greatest gifts in recovery is their ability to appreciate life again. There is a saying, “laughter is the best medicine,” that I’ve come to grow quite fond of. It is a great feeling being able to hear our patients able to laugh and joke again. Sometimes, hearing a heartfelt laugh from a patient is their first sign of healing.
With the opening of Within: Books Boutique Cafe, we are able to reach our patients and the community in new ways. One of these is by hosting events that will bring inspiration and healing to their lives. Next month, Within: Books Boutique Cafe is presenting a comedy performance by Mark Lundholm. As a well known recovery comedian, we are sure that Mark will make this an enjoyable night. The event will be held at The Borland Center in Palm Beach Gardens and will begin at 7:30pm.
